Okay, it's finally finished. The suggestions Dianne gave me about the green jar helped as did the ones from my professor regarding how to paint shiny bright objects. She said not to try to paint the shine but to look closely for the shapes and values, where hard and soft edges fall and to remember shiny objects tend to have more hard edges.

I'm thinking that in spite of everything (vision challenges, multiple losses, etc.) you are really good and amazing... not just as an artist, but as a human being. I am in awe of your persistence.

This is amazing! The picture just jumps right off the canvas! I'd love to find a class likes yours. It's great to have a teacher on hand who is actually teaching something tangible. There's a wonderful glow in this painting. You really have a great talent for oils and seem to be making really fast progress with them!

That red is rich and beautiful, Marta. And I love the lemons. It makes me want to try oil paints again. (Thanks for stopping by, I had forgotten they were called "underroos'! And the scary recipe - priceless!!)
yes the pitcher is wonderful. The yellow inside, and reflected off the lemon is really nice.
