11x14 inch arches cold press watercolor block.
This is a study for an oil painting I'd like to do of this Guatemalan apple lady.

This is so gorgeous. She is so full of life and the vibrancy in her blouse is awesome. I love this. I also like the white area above her right shoulder and the little light dabs on her face. So beautiful.
This turned out great, I love the colors, can't wait to see some of the other photos you took!
Lovely colours on your apple lady and I also loved your rendering of the Matisse portrait. In case you dont go back to my blog for your answer, the paper I used for the gesso work was Bockingford 200lb
(425 gsm) NOT watercolour paper. Don't know how you fit artwork into your busy life. .. but when you have a passion you have to dont you?
She is absolutely Glowing!!
Marta-- I'm still back on your hues/values and perspective exercise. when/if you have a chance, could you let me know how the assignment was worded? Thanks.
