Although I don't like how this turned out, I learned from it so it was not a wasted effort. But more than anything it put me back in the studio and I lost myself for hours.

Since my studio walls are full; I need a place to thumbtack my thoughts, sketches, photos....whatever.

This looks great Marta. The charcoal looks so fresh and show your confident stroke.

There is a Ton of love in this sketch, and it was good for your soul. The figure drawing set is a gorgeous body of work! Amazing stuff here. Good luck on your 'final' I know you have gained so much in friends and technique.
Martha,
Your contrast is beautiful now. Was this from a photo? Tricia
Actually I worked from the computer but realize now I don't like working like that. I would have been more accurate with the structure had I used a photo and used a grid to get the first strokes in.
Oh Marta, I didn't know anything about this accident. My condolences to you and your family. I'm glad the three kids have a home already. Sometimes we'd like to know why such awful things happen, but no rational explanation can be found. A big big hug and keep working with your wonderful art, it'll help you heal the wounds. Besos.
