Today I hit a milestone with a personal best for a 5km run, 32min & 33sec. After recovering from my respiratory infection I am back to my good state of health and have begun to kick up the pace a bit on my training runs. It's been really cold out so I have opted for the treadmill at the gym this week. I'm still slow but for a 52 year old just getting started, I'm proud of myself! 6 weeks to go for the 5k in Century City to support Children's Cancer Research.

YAY!! GO MARTA GO!!! Woo Hoo!!! You're my hero! (I mean really - I'm such a slacker...I want to be just like YOU!!)
Marta!! Wonderful. Good for you.
I've been hiking again and trying to get the winter heavies out of my mind and body. I can relate with your excitement, however, I could never run like that..no no no...more of a mountain climber I am..haha.
I'm impressed...

Can you believe my ankle is STILL a little gimpy? I haven't been running for any real distance since we first chatted. OMG. We've been hiking a *lot*, though, so I haven't been a total slug. You, on the other hand, are a wild-woman! Go Marta, Go!
Go Marta Go.... Hip Hip Hooray. I used to get about 28 min. in a 5k fun run when I was 31. Wow Marta you are awesome.!!!
