    Dear Marta:

We are contacting you because we reviewed your site, liked it a lot, and would like to work with you.

ARTLURKER is a Miami based contemporary art newsletter. Our purpose is to provide a critical venue for dialogue about the quality and content of art, and on the whole compensate for the lack of critical art writing in Miami. We are currently in an exciting process of expansion and are looking for talented, opinionated writers to come on board as guest bloggers.

Out of the mire of individually led emerging blogs and art newsletter we selected over 200 potential writers and after monitoring them to assess both quality and proliferation we narrowed our search to just 20.

As one of the blogs nominated, or rather cited as a potential collaborator you would have complete editorial privileges. We want those selected to feel free to write what they want. Spare no criticism. In general we find most of whats out there too polite and safe. You choose your subject and your style and write in the manner to which you have become accustomed. In your case we are particularly interested in your background. Each guest blogger brings something very different, yet equally substantial to the table.

As a site, our main interest is in forging new relationships, not just between strangers but withing the framework of artists and writers, writers and writers. We want to bypass the middle man and make a purer form of communication, critique and experience. A dialog if you will between all those people in the background, the underground and the mainstream, strengthening bonds and exposing those who who deserve the attention.

The brass tax is that we will post your text on our website with explicit links and promotion of and your website. You will also of course enjoy a featured profile on our Guest Bloggers page. Coming soon this will include biographies, photographs - basically a very well composed and comprehensive introduction to you, our guest blogger.

If this is something that interests you then shoot us some ideas - or better yet your finished text - to We are currently working out the line up but we can tell you the the first guest blogger will post on June first.

We really look forward to hearing from you, in the meantime please visit our website:

    Warm regards,

Thomas and the team at ARTLURKER.

  2. Excellent, Marta! I like your use of crosshatching.
