I have had so much fun looking at all the EDMr's homes with this challenge that I just had to drop the black conte and figure studies for a bit to do this watercolor and pencil of my "casita".
I live in Riverside, California in a community that is only about 20 years old: Orangecrest. Our home is 18 years old. My studio is in the bedroom above the garage. From there I have a great view of what's going on in the neighborhood. So if you are ever in my neck of the woods, come on by for a visit or bring a suitcase and stay awhile!
Muy bonita, amiga!!
I'm so sad - my DH will be in San Diego in a few weeks, but I can't come. It's too bad - I would have rented a car and come to see you!
I would have jumped in mine to see you!!!
I would have jumped into Diahn's suitcase and come along, too... we would have had a BLAST! Beautiful home!
Wow, love the way you painted this!
great job.

Marta,
Love your casita painting! Thanks for sharing. This is one of the most fun challenges....

This is beautiful, Marta! I love the colors you've used. I'd love to come see you too - one of these days I will!
A lovely sketch of your home Marta...now I can visualise you working in your studio with the view on the world!

Loved to see your house. I particularly like the free free way you've done it. The colours are great.
This has such a California look to it Marta. A lovely little rendering. I'm thinking about painting my house...but my sense of perspective is so bad. Guess I just need to jump in and not worry about the wonkiness...
Your house is so similar to mine - and my studio is in the room above my garage, too! Must be a "CALIFORNIA" thing. I don't particularly like to do architectural drawings, but you've inspired me to ATTEMPT to draw/paint my house. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Lovely home, Marta. Hopefully someday when we visit the US. again, we can stop by the west coast. It looks very inviting and it is well executed with great depth.
